Our founder has been formulating and studying herbalism and natural dyes since 2017.
The Avant Garden Apothecary sprouted in the mountains of southern Oregon, where our founder and head witch in charge began studying herbalism in 2017. After years of dreaming, learning, growing and foraging herbs, formulating for friends, making and trading village-herbalist style, the time came to open up a proper shop and share these makings with the wider world.
The Avant Garden Apothecary is an herbalist-formulated natural wellness, accessories and candle shop. We sell herbal oils botanically dyed silk scarves, and hand poured beeswax candles. At the Apothecary we know that beauty shines from our inner wellness: caring for our moods, our hormones, our sleep, and the organs that help us to detoxify and make our hair and skin glow from the inside out. We use 100% natural ingredients in all of our products.

At the Avant Garden Apothecary, we aim for simplicity. We know there is an abundance of healing to experience from the earth’s bounty, if we care for the earth in return. We formulate with organic and mindfully wild-crafted botanical ingredients whose medicine have stood the test of time. Every one of the ingredients in our oils, silks, and beeswax candles is made from simple botanical ingredients, formulated to make something beautiful, healing, and functional.
